The Inquiry Report into the Death of Jalal Uddin will be published and laid in Parliament on Thursday 10th July 2025 at 12:30.
A copy of the report will be published on the Inquiry website on the 10th July at 12:30 together with an accompanying statement from the Chairman of the Inquiry.
On 9 November 2023 the Home Secretary announced the Government’s decision to establish an inquiry under the Inquiries Act 2005 to investigate the death of Jalal Uddin who was murdered in Rochdale on 18 February 2016.
His Honour Judge Teague KC having acted as the Coroner responsible for conducting the Jalal Uddin Inquest, was appointed as Chairman of the Inquiry.
A preliminary hearing took place on Thursday 7 December 2023. A copy of the transcript can be found here
The Inquiry heard three days of public evidence at QE11 Law Courts, Derby Square, Liverpool L2 1XA on 23, 24 and 25th September 2024. Transcripts of the proceedings can be found here.
